We had a great day at the beach! A few folks are "pink", but it was a beautiful day today! Very choppy and rough water today that wore everyone out, but we still spent 5 and a 1/2 hours at the beach! Tomorrow it is back to work!
Here is yesterday's blog. The wifi is still down, but I am able to
connect through someone's "hotspot". It is slow, but hopefully will do
the trick!

On Tuesday, our second day working with the wonderful Miss
Alice and her friend Miss Betty, we learned about the story of the cricket and
how important it is to look to God and not material possessions. We took many
water breaks and had a wonderful lunch, which we shared with the two amazing
ladies. We were surprised and even moved in our gratitude when Miss Alice
brought out a honey bun cake for us, which must have taken a good part of her
day. It was very kind of her and restored my faith in humanity and it’s
kindness. After that we painted two sides of the house, made a doorframe and
replaced boards for the day, we headed home.

Today was day 2 on Mr. Griffin’s home. We did lots of yard
work and cleared up his fence line, which looked VERY sharp. Inside, we
finished painting the kitchen, which has a very nice coat of beige and white.
We started on Mr. Griffin’s bedroom, and intend to add a coat on Thursday.

Today, we continued our work for Mrs. Watson and not only
did we do physical labor and demanding work out in the sun, but we also found
out more about Mrs. Watson and her husband, son and daughter. As the day went
on we noticed that Mr. Watson started coming out more and more until he was
always sitting in a chair right next to us, watching us do our work. We have
been working so hard and we think that our hard work is going to pay off by
creating an opportunity to end early on Thursday.

Today, we had a bump in our journey. There was water damage
where we were supposed to be putting floor down. We had to bleach the area and put flooring on
hold. We will start back up on Thursday and hopefully be able to finish the kitchen
and living room. Through our struggles we continue to find ways to help our
homeowner in the smallest ways possible. Today, we also had a crazy encounter
with a snake while cleaning up the back yard. We killed it swiftly and held a
funeral in its memorial. *moment of
silence* We have put in a lot of effort and had a great time doing it,
and hopefully our home owner will be the most excited when we complete all our
assigned work.

On Tuesday, the second day of helping the people in need we
helped two people. The jobs we did were
very hard but with God’s help we worked hard and got it done. One of the jobs we did was yard work, before
the yard looked like a jungle after it looked wonderful. The second job was painting and scraping the
old paint off and putting a new coat on.
After that we cleaned up and came home.
Thanks so much for keeping us up to date with everyone's activities! You guys are all doing beautiful work! We miss Cameron, but are so happy he has this great opportunity to serve God with others! Enjoy the rest of the week!
